Makkah — Voco Makkah

Voco Makkah sits 1.3 to 1.8 kilometers (0.8 to 1.1 miles) from Masjid al-Haram, close enough that a shuttle is the primary way to reach the Haram comfortably, especially during Ramadan’s crowded taraweeh and suhoor hours. As part of our Gold tier, rooms here offer upgraded finishes and more spacious layouts than our Silver-tier hotels, with a standard geared toward pilgrims who want extra comfort after long nights of prayer. You can compare this against other options in our Makkah hotels guide, and travelers coordinating airport pickup or Ziyarat visits should review our Umrah Transportation page for how transfers are scheduled during Ramadan. Amenities: free Wi-Fi, daily housekeeping, on-site dining, and shuttle service to Masjid al-Haram.

Madinah — Waqf Outhman Bin Affan

Waqf Outhman Bin Affan is just 250 to 850 meters (roughly 0.15 to 0.5 miles) from Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, close enough to walk to the mosque for all five daily prayers as well as taraweeh, without needing to rely on transport. The property offers comfortable Gold-tier rooms suited to pilgrims who want to maximize time at the mosque during Ramadan’s peak worship hours. See our Madinah hotels guide for how this compares across tiers, and check our Umrah Visa page if you still need to finalize your documentation before booking. Amenities: free Wi-Fi, daily housekeeping, walking access to Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, and on-site dining.

Your 7-Night 4-Star Gold Ramadan Umrah Itinerary:

A 7-night package means 7 nights of hotel stay in Saudi Arabia, which works out to 8 days total. Pilgrims fly out and arrive on Day 1, spend 7 full nights across Makkah and Madinah, and fly home on Day 8. Departure is not on Day 7 — Day 7 is still spent in-country, with the return flight on Day 8.

Day 1 (Night 1 – Madinah): Arrive at Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz Airport in Madinah, where our team will meet you and arrange transport to your hotel, Waqf Outhman Bin Affan. After check-in, take time to rest from your journey before heading to Al-Masjid an-Nabawi for Maghrib and Isha prayers. Given the short walking distance, most guests find it easy to also join suhoor preparations at the mosque later that night if arrival timing allows.

Day 2 (Night 2 – Madinah): Spend your first full day immersed in worship at Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, including visiting Riyadh al-Jannah if timing and crowd levels permit. Given Ramadan’s demanding schedule, many pilgrims use daytime hours to rest before returning for taraweeh prayers in the evening, followed by suhoor near the mosque before Fajr.

Day 3 (Night 3 – Madinah): Join our guided Ziyarat tour covering Quba Mosque (the first mosque in Islam), the historic Uhud battlefield and martyrs’ cemetery, and Masjid al-Qiblatain, where the Qibla was changed from Jerusalem to Makkah. Return to the hotel in the afternoon with free time before evening prayers and taraweeh.

Day 4 (Night 4 – Makkah): Check out of your Madinah hotel after Fajr prayer and travel by road to Makkah. Upon arrival, check in to Voco Makkah, freshen up, and proceed to Masjid al-Haram to perform your Umrah rites — Tawaf, Sa’i, and Halq/Taqsir — with our team on hand to guide you through each step if needed.

Day 5 (Night 5 – Makkah): Your first full day in Makkah is left open for personal worship, including additional Tawaf, Quran recitation, and rest ahead of the evening’s taraweeh prayers at the Haram, one of the most sought-after Ramadan experiences for pilgrims worldwide.

Day 6 (Night 6 – Makkah): Continue your worship schedule at Masjid al-Haram, with time built in for suhoor and iftar near the mosque. Pilgrims wishing to pursue Ziyarat sites in Makkah, such as Jabal al-Nour or the Cave of Hira, can arrange this with our transport team.

Day 7 (Night 7 – Makkah): Use your final full day for concentrated worship, especially if your stay falls within the last ten nights of Ramadan and you wish to seek Laylatul Qadr through extended prayer at the Haram. In the evening, begin preparing for departure and settle any final hotel matters.

Day 8: Check out of Voco Makkah after Fajr prayer, with transport arranged to Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport (or Makkah’s nearest transfer point) for your return flight home.

Note: this is the standard routing most pilgrims choose — flying into Jeddah, starting in Makkah, and finishing in Madinah before departure. You can also fly directly into Madinah and begin your journey there instead, visiting Madinah first and finishing in Makkah. Let your travel consultant know your preference when booking
