Distance: Voco Makkah sits about 1.8 kilometers from Masjid al-Haram, roughly a 5 to 7 minute drive by taxi or the hotel’s complimentary shuttle. Walking is possible for fit guests in cooler hours, but not recommended given the distance and August heat.

Distance: Waqf Outhman Bin Affan Hotel is about 800 meters from Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, roughly a 6 to 8 minute walk, with women’s access available through Gate 25.

Your 14 Nights 4-Star Gold August Umrah Itinerary
A 14-night package means 14 nights of hotel stay in Saudi Arabia, working out to 15 days total — 7 nights in Makkah and 7 nights in Madinah. Pilgrims fly out and arrive on Day 1, spend all 14 nights across the two holy cities, and fly home on Day 15.
Day 1 — Depart USA / Arrive Makkah Land at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and transfer to Voco Makkah. Check in, rest after the flight, and change into Ihram — your group leader covers the intentions and rulings before your first shuttle ride to the Haram.
Day 2 — Perform Umrah Tawaf, Sa’i between Safa and Marwah, and Halq or Taqsir, guided throughout by your group leader. Shuttle transport to and from the Haram is included for the full stay.
Day 3 — Ziyarat in Makkah A guided visit to Jabal al-Noor and the Cave of Hira, scheduled early to work around the peak of August heat.
Day 4 — Free Day in Makkah An unstructured day to worship at your own pace, rest after the first week’s travel, or take the shuttle back to the Haram whenever you feel called to.
Day 5 — Ziyarat in Makkah A second guided outing, covering Mina, Muzdalifah, and Arafat — sites most shorter packages don’t have time to include.
Day 6 — Free Day in Makkah More unstructured time. With a full week here, there’s no pressure to pack everything into a single visit to the Haram.
Day 7 — Free Day in Makkah Your final day in this city. Make one last visit to the Haram before checking out of Voco Makkah.
Day 8 — Travel to Madinah Transfer via the Haramain High Speed Railway, a comfortable two-hour journey. Check in to Waqf Outhman Bin Affan Hotel on arrival, a short walk from the mosque.
Day 9 — Ziyarat in Madinah A guided visit to Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, the Rawdah (subject to availability), and Quba Mosque.
Day 10 — Free Day in Madinah Additional time for worship at Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, comfortably reachable on foot from Waqf Outhman Bin Affan Hotel.
Day 11 — Ziyarat in Madinah A guided visit to Mount Uhud, the Martyrs’ cemetery, and Masjid al-Qiblatain.
Day 12 — Free Day in Madinah An open day for personal worship, rest, or time with family members traveling with you.
Day 13 — Free Day in Madinah More unhurried time at the mosque — many pilgrims on this longer package use these extra days to sit in the Rawdah more than once.
Day 14 — Free Day in Madinah Your final full day in Saudi Arabia. Spend extra time at the mosque, make any last du’as, and finish packing.
Day 15 — Departure Check out of Waqf Outhman Bin Affan Hotel and transfer to Madinah airport for your return flight to the USA.
Note: this is the standard routing most pilgrims choose — flying into Jeddah, starting in Makkah, and finishing in Madinah before departure. You can also fly directly into Madinah and begin your journey there instead. Let your travel consultant know your preference when booking.
