Novotel Makkah

Distance: Novotel Makkah Thakher City is located about 2.7 kilometers from Masjid al-Haram in the Thakher City development. The hotel runs a complimentary shuttle to and from the Haram every 30 minutes, around the clock, with the ride taking roughly 10 minutes.

Five nights at Novotel Makkah Thakher City, one of our value-focused Makkah Hotels, gives you enough time to learn the shuttle’s rhythm and build a comfortable routine around it rather than treating every ride as a scramble. Many pilgrims on this 10-night package tell us the extra days actually make the shuttle-based location feel like less of a trade-off you’re not sprinting for the last ride before Isha, you have breathing room. Our Makkah transport service coordinates shuttle timing around your group’s prayer and Ziyarah schedule.

Your 10 Nights 4-Star Silver August Umrah Itinerary

A 10-night package means 10 nights of hotel stay in Saudi Arabia, working out to 11 days total — 5 nights in Makkah and 5 nights in Madinah. Pilgrims fly out and arrive on Day 1, spend all 10 nights across the two holy cities, and fly home on Day 11.

Day 1 — Depart USA / Arrive Makkah. Land at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and transfer to Novotel Makkah Thakher City. Check in, rest after the flight, and change into Ihram — your group leader covers the intentions and rulings before your first shuttle ride to the Haram.

Day 2 — Perform Umrah Tawaf, Sa’i between Safa and Marwah, and Halq or Taqsir, guided throughout by your group leader. Shuttle transport to and from the Haram is included for the full stay.

Day 3 — Ziyarat in Makkah A guided visit to Jabal al-Noor and the Cave of Hira, timed for the cooler early morning to avoid the height of August’s midday heat.

Day 4 — Free Day in Makkah An unstructured day to worship at your own pace, rest after the first days of travel, or take the shuttle back to the Haram whenever you’re ready.

Day 5 — Free Day in Makkah Your final day in this city. Make one last extended visit to the Haram before checking out of Novotel Makkah.

Day 6 — Travel to Madinah Transfer via the Haramain High Speed Railway, a comfortable two-hour journey. Check in to Zowar International Hotel on arrival, a short walk from the mosque.

Day 7 — Ziyarat in Madinah A guided visit to Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, the Rawdah (subject to availability), and Quba Mosque.

Day 8 — Free Day in Madinah Additional time for worship at Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, made easy given how close Zowar International sits to the mosque gates.

Day 9 — Ziyarat in Madinah A guided visit to Mount Uhud, the Martyrs’ cemetery, and Masjid al-Qiblatain.

Day 10 — Free Day in Madinah Your final full day in Saudi Arabia. Spend extra time at the mosque, make any last du’as, and finish packing.

Day 11 — Departure  Check out of Zowar International Hotel and transfer to Madinah airport for your return flight to the USA.

Note: this is the standard routing most pilgrims choose — flying into Jeddah, starting in Makkah, and finishing in Madinah before departure. You can also fly directly into Madinah and begin your journey there instead. Let your travel consultant know your preference when booking.

Frequently Asked Questions

Ten nights allows a more even 5/5 split between Makkah and Madinah, gives you real time to adjust to the shuttle rhythm in Makkah, and leaves built-in rest days to recover from the August heat between activities.
Yes — Novotel Makkah Thakher City and Zowar International Hotel are identical across all three Silver durations. The only difference is the number of nights spent at each property and the total package price.
Custom night splits can be arranged on request. The 5/5 split listed here is our standard recommendation for 10-night Silver bookings, but our team can adjust it based on your priorities.
One guided Ziyarah day in Makkah (Jabal al-Noor and the Cave of Hira) and two in Madinah (Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, the Rawdah, and Quba Mosque; then Uhud, the Martyrs’ cemetery, and Masjid al-Qiblatain), each led by an English/Urdu-speaking guide.
Yes. Ten nights gives families enough free days to move at a comfortable pace and recover from the heat between activities, rather than the fatigue that comes with a tightly packed shorter trip.
No. The Makkah-to-Madinah rail transfer is included in your package and arranged by our team, so there’s nothing additional to book or pay for on the day.
Every 30 minutes, 24 hours a day, for the full length of your Makkah stay. With five nights here, most pilgrims settle into a comfortable pattern around it by the second or third day.
