Al Kiswah Hotel- Makkah

Distance: Al Kiswah Hotel sits about 900 meters (roughly 2,950 feet) from Masjid al-Haram in Makkah’s Al Taysir district. On foot that’s a 12- to 15-minute walk, most of it on a gentle uphill grade heading back to the hotel, and the property runs a free shuttle to the Haram for pilgrims who’d rather skip the climb.

For a budget-friendly 3-star stay, that shuttle matters more than the walking distance on paper. You’re not stuck timing your day around a 25-minute trek in the August sun  you step out, catch the shuttle, and you’re at the Haram in a few minutes. On a 7-night itinerary, that’s the difference between fitting in all five daily prayers at the mosque and rationing them because the walk feels like too much. Ground transfers to and from the property run through our dedicated Makkah transport service, so your arrival day isn’t spent figuring out logistics on your own. Explore our Makkah hotels options to find a stay that fits your budget and makes getting to the Haram easy.

Al Mukhtara International-Madinah

Distance: Al Mukhtara International Hotel is located roughly 700 meters (about a 10-minute walk) from Al-Masjid an-Nabawi in Madinah, in the North Central area just off King Fahad Road.

With three nights in Madinah on this itinerary, a hotel this close means you’re not losing meaningful time to travel between prayers. Al Mukhtara International, featured among our Madinah Hotels, puts the Prophet’s Mosque within a comfortable, flat walk no steep hills to manage after a long day. Transfers between the airport, the hotel, and the Ziyarah sites run through our Madinah transport network, keeping a short Madinah stay efficient rather than rushed.

Your 7 Nights 3-Star August Umrah Itinerary

A 7-night package means 7 nights of hotel stay in Saudi Arabia, working out to 8 days total — 4 nights in Makkah and 3 nights in Madinah. Pilgrims fly out and arrive on Day 1, spend all 7 nights across the two holy cities, and fly home on Day 8.

Day 1 — Depart USA / Arrive Makkah Land at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and transfer to Al Kiswah Hotel. Check in, rest after the flight, and change into Ihram — your group leader walks you through the intentions and rulings before you head out for Umrah.

Day 2 — Perform Umrah Tawaf, Sa’i between Safa and Marwah, and Halq or Taqsir, guided step by step by your group leader. Transport to and from the Haram is included, so there’s nothing to arrange yourself.

Day 3 — Ziyarat in Makkah A guided visit to Jabal al-Noor and the Cave of Hira, scheduled for the cooler early-morning hours to avoid the peak of the August heat.

Day 4 — Free Day in Makkah Your last day in this city. Use it however suits you — an extra Tawaf, quiet time in the Haram, or simply resting indoors during the hottest part of the afternoon — before checking out of Al Kiswah Hotel.

Day 5 — Travel to Madinah Transfer via the Haramain High Speed Railway, a smooth two-hour ride between cities. On arrival, check in to Al Mukhtara International Hotel, a short walk from the Prophet’s Mosque.

Day 6 — Ziyarat in Madinah A guided visit to Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, the Rawdah (subject to availability), and Quba Mosque.

Day 7 — Free Day in Madinah Your final full day in Saudi Arabia. With the hotel this close to the mosque, it’s easy to fit in extra worship, wrap up any last du’as, and finish packing.

Day 8 — Departure Check out of Al Mukhtara International Hotel and transfer to Madinah airport for your return flight to the USA.

Note: this is the standard routing most pilgrims choose — flying into Jeddah, starting in Makkah, and finishing in Madinah before departure. You can also fly directly into Madinah and begin your journey there instead. Let your travel consultant know your preference when booking.

Frequently Asked Questions

August falls outside Ramadan and Hajj, so the Haramain are noticeably calmer — shorter queues for Tawaf, easier access to the Rawdah, and more flexibility on prayer timings. It’s also one of the more budget-friendly months to travel.
Yes. Rooms are simple but functional — air conditioning, private bathrooms, daily breakfast — and both hotels here are within a short walk or shuttle ride of the Haramain, so you’re not sacrificing access, just extra polish.
Expect daytime temperatures well into the 100s°F. That’s why the guided Ziyarah outings on this itinerary are scheduled early in the day, and why both hotels’ proximity (or shuttle access) to the Haramain matters more in summer than it might in a cooler month.
Yes, you can switch tiers any time before final payment — just let your travel consultant know and they’ll adjust your pricing and hotel confirmations accordingly.
Yes, transfers from Jeddah airport to your Makkah hotel, between Makkah and Madinah, and from your Madinah hotel to the airport for departure are all included in the land package.
You’ll need a valid passport (6+ months remaining), a completed application, passport-sized photos, proof of meningitis vaccination, and a mahram certificate where applicable.
e recommend booking 2–3 months in advance for a 14-night stay, especially for 5-star hotels this close to the Haramain, which book up faster than other tiers.
