3 Star July Umrah Package 7 Nights USA | From $375

July in Makkah doesn’t ease up daytime highs sit in the mid-40s°C, and the walk between your hotel and the Haram is the part of the trip most pilgrims underestimate. This 7-night 3-Star package is built for pilgrims who want to complete Umrah properly without stretching their budget.

Al Kiswah Hotel in Makkah and Al Mukhtara International in Madinah are both a manageable walk from their respective Haramain, with shuttle access on the Makkah side for when the afternoon heat makes that walk less appealing. If you’re comparing how a shorter, budget-conscious July trip stacks up against a longer one, our Summer Umrah Package page breaks down the tradeoffs.

Al Kiswah Hotel

Distance: Al Kiswah Hotel is located approximately 900 meters (about 0.55 miles) from Masjid al-Haram in Makkah’s Al Taysir district. The walk runs 12–18 minutes depending on pace, and part of the route is uphill most pilgrims prefer the hotel’s shuttle service during peak prayer times or the worst of the July afternoon heat.

At this price point, Al Kiswah Hotel gives you a genuinely comfortable base without pretending the walk to the Haram is shorter than it is. In July, that honesty matters — the shuttle exists precisely because a 15-minute uphill walk at 2pm in 45°C heat isn’t something we’d recommend to anyone, and it’s included so you’re not left deciding between comfort and cost.

For guided step-by-step directions between properties like this one and the Haram, our Makkah Hotels page covers walking routes and shuttle timing in more detail. Transfers from Jeddah airport run through our Makkah transport service.

Al Mukhtara International

Distance: Al Mukhtara International is located approximately 650 meters (about 0.4 miles) from Al-Masjid an-Nabawi in Madinah’s North Central district, roughly an 8–10 minute walk from Gate 25.

Madinah’s July heat is more forgiving than Makkah’s, which makes the walk from Al Mukhtara International—featured among our Madinah Hotels a genuinely pleasant one for most of the day, particularly in the early morning and after Maghrib. Three nights here is enough to settle into a rhythm of five daily prayers at the mosque without feeling rushed between them. Local transport, including your Makkah–Madinah transfer, is coordinated through our Madinah transport network.

Your 7 Nights 3-Star July Umrah Itinerary

A 7-night package means 7 nights of hotel stay in Saudi Arabia, working out to 8 days total — 4 nights in Makkah and 3 nights in Madinah. Pilgrims fly out and arrive on Day 1, spend all 7 nights across the two holy cities, and fly home on Day 8.

Day 1 — Depart USA / Arrive Makkah

Land at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and transfer by shared shuttle to Al Kiswah Hotel. Check in, rest after the flight, and change into Ihram — your group leader walks you through the intentions and rulings before you head out.

Day 2 — Perform Umrah

Tawaf, Sa’i between Safa and Marwah, and Halq or Taqsir, guided step by step by your group leader. Given the July heat, most groups schedule this for early morning or after Isha to avoid the harshest midday hours.

Day 3 — Ziyarat in Makkah

A guided visit to Jabal al-Noor and the Cave of Hira, scheduled early to beat the heat — by mid-morning in July, outdoor stops become genuinely uncomfortable.

Day 4 — Free Day in Makkah

Your last day in this city. Use it for an extra Tawaf, rest in the air-conditioned lobby between prayers, or simply pace yourself before checking out of Al Kiswah Hotel.

Day 5 — Travel to Madinah

Transfer via the Haramain High Speed Railway, a smooth two-hour ride between cities. On arrival, check in to Al Mukhtara International, an 8–10 minute walk from the Prophet’s Mosque.

Day 6 — Ziyarat in Madinah

A guided visit to Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, the Rawdah (subject to availability), and Quba Mosque — Madinah’s milder July climate makes this an easier day than the Makkah leg.

Day 7 — Free Day in Madinah

Your final full day in Saudi Arabia. Fit in extra worship, wrap up any last du’as, and finish packing.

Day 8 — Departure

Check out of Al Mukhtara International and transfer to Madinah airport for your return flight to the USA.

Note: this is the standard routing most pilgrims choose — flying into Jeddah, starting in Makkah, and finishing in Madinah before departure. Flying directly into Madinah and beginning your journey there is also an option; let your travel consultant know your preference when booking.

Frequently Asked Questions

It’s the hottest month of the year in Saudi Arabia, with Makkah regularly hitting the mid-40s°C, but the itinerary is built around it — early morning and post-Isha activity, shuttle access instead of long midday walks, and air-conditioned hotels for the hours in between.
Distance from the Haram is the biggest single factor in Makkah hotel pricing. At roughly 900 meters with shuttle service included, you get a real cost saving without losing reliable access to the mosque.
We’d recommend using the included shuttle rather than walking, especially between mid-morning and sunset. Many of our 3-Star bookings for elderly travelers lean on the shuttle for every trip to the Haram during summer months.
Your Umrah visa processing is included in this package. Visit our Umrah Visa page for document requirements and processing timelines.
Pricing scales with hotel nights, not hotel quality — Al Kiswah Hotel and Al Mukhtara International are specific to this 7-night pairing, while the 10 and 14-night packages use different hotel partners at the same 3-Star standard.
Yes. Seven nights is a manageable length for a first trip, and with guided Ziyarah, shared transport, and 24/7 on-ground support, solo pilgrims aren’t left to figure out Makkah or Madinah — or the July heat — on their own.
Yes. The itinerary above reflects the standard routing most pilgrims choose, but flying into Madinah and starting your journey there is available on request — let your travel consultant know your preference when booking.
