Makkah — Voco Makkah

Distance from Haram: 1.8 km · 20–25 minute walk

Voco Makkah is an IHG-branded property, which shows in the finish modern rooms, premium mattresses, and a noticeably higher service standard than our 3-star lineup. It sits far enough from the Haram that the walk isn’t the go-to option, especially in June’s heat, so most guests lean on the hotel’s regular shuttle, which drops off just a few minutes’ walk from the mosque.

Inside, the hotel spans several towers with a restaurant, shared lounge, and rooms built to comfortably sleep families or small groups. It’s one of our featured picks in the Makkah Hotel 4-star category, and shuttle runs to and from the Haram are covered as part of our included Umrah Transport.

Madinah — Waqf Outhman Bin Affan

Distance from Masjid an-Nabawi: under 1km · 6–8 minute walk

Waqf Outhman Bin Affan is a Madinah institution in its own right — the hotel operates as a waqf (endowment) established in the name of Uthman ibn Affan, with proceeds supporting the upkeep of Masjid an-Nabawi. Beyond the history, it’s a genuinely convenient stay: a short, flat walk to the mosque, air-conditioned rooms with city views, and an on-site restaurant serving a halal buffet spread across several cuisines.

No shuttle is needed here the mosque is close enough that guests typically just walk. It’s a standout in our Madinah Hotel 4-star selection, with airport transfers and Ziyarat visits throughout your stay handled by our included Umrah Transport.

Your 7-Night 4-Star Gold June Umrah Itinerary

A 7-night package means 7 nights of hotel stay in Saudi Arabia, working out to 8 days total — 4 nights in Makkah and 3 nights in Madinah. Pilgrims fly out and arrive on Day 1, spend all 7 nights across the two holy cities, and fly home on Day 8.

Day 1 — Depart USA / Arrive Makkah

Land at King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah, and transfer to Voco Makkah. Check in, rest after the journey, and change into Ihram ahead of Umrah — your group leader covers the intentions and rulings before you head out.

Day 2 — Umrah Rites

Perform Umrah — Tawaf, Sa’i between Safa and Marwah, and Halq or Taqsir — guided by your group leader throughout. Most pilgrims rest and pray at the Haram for the remainder of the day.

Day 3 — Ziyarat in Makkah

A guided visit to Jabal al-Noor and the Cave of Hira, scheduled early to beat the June heat.

Day 4 — Free Day in Makkah

An open day to worship at your own pace. Your final day in Makkah — use it for one last Tawaf before checking out of Voco Makkah.

Day 5 — Travel to Madinah

Transfer via the Haramain High Speed Railway, a comfortable two-hour journey. Check in to Waqf Outhman Bin Affan on arrival, a short walk from the mosque.

Day 6 — Ziyarat in Madinah

A guided visit to Masjid an-Nabawi, the Rawdah (subject to availability), and Quba Mosque.

Day 7 — Free Day in Madinah

An open day for personal worship or a visit to Mount Uhud and the Martyrs’ cemetery. With Waqf Outhman Bin Affan just minutes from the mosque, it’s easy to head over between prayers.

Day 8 — Departure

Check out and transfer to Madinah airport for your return flight to the USA.

Note: this is the standard routing most pilgrims choose — flying into Jeddah, starting in Makkah, and finishing in Madinah before departure. You can also fly directly into Madinah and begin your journey there instead. Let your travel consultant know your preference when booking.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our 4 Star Gold June package includes round-trip airfare (on request), visa processing, 7 nights of upgraded hotel accommodation in Makkah and Madinah, daily breakfast, Haramain High Speed Railway ticket, full ground transportation, Ihram for men, a guided Rawdah visit, and support from our staff throughout your trip.
All three use 4-star hotels, but Gold offers a better balance of hotel proximity and price than Silver, while sitting below Platinum’s premium locations and room standard. Gold is our most popular 4-star tier for that reason.
We recommend booking 2–3 months ahead for June travel. Summer sits outside the peak winter and Ramadan seasons, so Gold-tier hotels tend to have better availability than other times of year.
You’ll need a valid passport (6+ months remaining), a completed application, passport-sized photos, proof of meningitis vaccination, and a mahram certificate where applicable.
Requirements vary by age and circumstance under current Saudi regulations — contact our team and we’ll walk you through what applies to your situation.
Quad means 4 people share a room ($540/person). Triple means 3 people share a room ($570/person). Double means 2 people share a room ($600/person). All three include the same hotels, services, and inclusions — only the room occupancy changes.
June is peak summer, with daytime temperatures regularly reaching the low-to-mid 40s°C (110°F+) and warm evenings. Voco Makkah’s shuttle and Waqf Outhman Bin Affan’s short walk both help minimize time outdoors during the hottest hours.
