Voco Makkah

Distance: Voco Makkah sits about 1.8 kilometers from Masjid al-Haram, roughly a 5 to 7 minute drive by taxi or the hotel’s complimentary shuttle.

Four nights at Voco Makkah, one of our featured Makkah Hotels, lands you at one of Makkah’s newer, better-kept 4-star properties, with a quieter surrounding area than the streets pressed right up against the Haram. September’s lighter crowds mean the shuttle itself runs smoother too shorter waits, easier boarding, less jostling than you’d find during the summer’s busiest weeks. Shuttle scheduling around your Umrah and Ziyarah days is coordinated through our Makkah transport service.

Three nights at Waqf Outhman Bin Affan, featured among our Madinah Hotels, puts you close enough to walk to every prayer, and with September’s cooler evenings, that walk is noticeably more pleasant than it would be in peak summer. It’s a quieter month in Madinah generally  smaller crowds around the mosque courtyard, easier access to the Rawdah. Local transport is arranged through our Madinah transport network.

Your 7 Nights 4-Star September Gold Umrah Itinerary

A 7-night package means 7 nights of hotel stay in Saudi Arabia, working out to 8 days total — 4 nights in Makkah and 3 nights in Madinah. Pilgrims fly out and arrive on Day 1, spend all 7 nights across the two holy cities, and fly home on Day 8.

Day 1 — Depart USA / Arrive Makkah Land at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and transfer to Voco Makkah. Check in, rest after the flight, and change into Ihram — your group leader walks you through the intentions and rulings before your first shuttle ride to the Haram.

Day 2 — Perform Umrah Tawaf, Sa’i between Safa and Marwah, and Halq or Taqsir, guided step by step by your group leader. With Hajj season behind us, the Haram itself is noticeably calmer this month, making the physical rituals easier to complete at a steady pace.

Day 3 — Ziyarat in Makkah A guided visit to Jabal al-Noor and the Cave of Hira, still scheduled for the cooler morning hours as September’s heat continues easing but hasn’t fully broken yet.

Day 4 — Free Day in Makkah Your last day in this city. With smaller crowds this month, it’s a good opportunity for an unhurried extra Tawaf before checking out of Voco Makkah.

Day 5 — Travel to Madinah Transfer via the Haramain High Speed Railway, a smooth two-hour ride between cities. On arrival, check in to Waqf Outhman Bin Affan Hotel, a short walk from the Prophet’s Mosque.

Day 6 — Ziyarat in Madinah A guided visit to Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, the Rawdah (subject to availability), and Quba Mosque.

Day 7 — Free Day in Madinah Your final full day in Saudi Arabia. The quieter September pace makes it easier to find time in the Rawdah, wrap up any last du’as, and finish packing.

Day 8 — Departure Check out of Waqf Outhman Bin Affan Hotel and transfer to Madinah airport for your return flight to the USA.

Note: this is the standard routing most pilgrims choose — flying into Jeddah, starting in Makkah, and finishing in Madinah before departure. Flying directly into Madinah and beginning your journey there is also an option; let your travel consultant know your preference when booking.

The shuttle itself doesn’t change, but ridership is lower, so waits and crowding tend to ease along with the overall September lull.
